Technorati #14

Too technical for me! I am way in over my head to try to make use of it. In searching the site, I finally got 700, 000 hits for football which were random and of no interest. I'd rather read a newspaper account than chit chat. When investigating the blog posts for Learnign 2.0, I liked the librarian who said "Life is a massive virtual world." the German and Chinese entries, FORGET.
Clicking and clicking could go on and on which isn't my thing. My head is swimming with not really trying to understand how it is all connnected. I'm declining the cahllenge to join tag searches!!!!!

D E L I C I O U S #13

I've seen someone successfully demonstrate how this works, I have set up an account to which I have added nothing YET, but I will continue to "bookmark" and it suits my needs so that is where I shall contiue to operate at the present time. I really haven't made the connection as to the ins and outs of this operation.

Thing 12 Rollyo

Wow, it's a real challenge to try t keep up with these 23 things. Finally after two ( maybe three sessions) with this exercise I have created my searchroll although I'm not really sure what to do with it. When I went back to test it, it was pretty cool to see the hits that came up for my searches. The saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is unfortunately my motto in that I may have a hard time implement this feature UNLESS I keep myself acquainted with it. Not saying that it isn't a useful tool, just not for me!

Library thing #11

This is great. I'll be back to add more books to "share." Added a few more 11/28. This was lots of fun and maybe a good way to keep a list of books read. But once again will probably not frequent this site on a regular basis. . . . or unless I have to !

Looky here!!! #10 Generator blog 11/27/07

Snowflake

Check this out! After stumbling around those different sites I was "intrigued" by snowflake (doesn't take much to amuse me as long as it's minimal effort) BUT I had to consult the experts to try to post it ( i.e. Jo and Jane who shared her cheat sheet with me) This was fun but useless for me since I can never follow through with the transfer and posting.

Thing 9 -Nov. 20, 2007

A bit difficult getting back into the swing of things, so I need to post a portion of my accomplishments before I forget what I am doing. I need to spend a bit more time searching Merlin, but moved ahead to see what else was there. I probably will not use any of the sites explored maninly because I'm not really interested enough nor do I navigate the net well. Feedster waas down and inaccessable. I was OK with Topix as they had some headers for info. Syndic8 had more to offer than I am interested in, and Hans blew me away(literally) with his tutorial on Technorati. I still need to subscribe to Merlin I think, because I don't remember if I already have, and I need open Feedicons too. But I'm out of here for now!!

RSS etc.- Thing 8

Thought this latest exercise was rather intriguing, easy to manage, but probably be of little use to me personally. Professionally librarians can interact with other sites and stay up to date with the latest chatter, events, happenings, etc. I did visit Blogrolls, http://www.bloglines.com/public/HB, and choose not to persue it further. Moving slowly along to Merlin. . . .
